This popular image captures the oil portrait of Susan B Anthony by Sarah James Eddy. At a celebration of her 80th birthday, eighty girls and boys crossed the stage, each presenting Susan B Anthony with a yellow rose. Eddy determined to capture the tribute in oil and asked Anthony to come to her studio to sit for the painting after the fact.
