Poster, Susan B Anthony honored by children on her 80th birthday

Image on heavy cardstock, 9" x 12", featuring photo of Sarah James Eddy's oil painting of Susan B Anthony, circa 1901. At the celebration of Anthony's 80th birthday at the Lafayette Opera House in Washington. D. C.eighty girls and boys crossed the stage, each presenting Susan B Anthony with a yellow rose. Eddy determined to capture the tribute in oil and asked Anthony to come to her studio to sit for the painting after the fact. The original oil painting is in the National American History Collection, Smithsonian Institute, but has been on loan to the University of Rochester, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections.
