Pounding the clay malleable, late 18th century

Potters need to cleanse and pound the clay again until it becomes compact and malleable. A definite proportion of kaolin and baidunzi would be mixed; the mixture moves and kneads with wooden spatulas inside a large pit well paves and cements.
