Power to the people

Gert Resinger works with a diverse range of media and materials, producing art that emerges from a continuous and often intentionally chaotic process. His inspiration is drawn from an array of sources, including social processes, literature, fashion, music, and technology. During his studies at the Academy of Applied Arts, Resinger's focus expanded from painting to include objects, furniture, and installations, though design and painting have remained at the forefront of his work. Drawing is a crucial means of expression for him and often serves as a model for his creations. Resinger's work is infused with humor, tragicomedy, and a sense of the abysmal, which drive his artistic process. He frequently incorporates technical processes into his designs, inviting people to engage physically with his work and become a part of the artwork itself.
