Prajnaparamita(Chunda)

Prajnaparamita was a popular Buddhist deity in the Mahayana branch of Buddhism. She symbolizes transcendental wisdom. She is seated in padmasana on a double lotus seat with a slight bend to the right. In the upper right hand she carries a rosary and in the upper left the Prajnaparamita scripture. The two lower hands are held in front of the chest in Dharmachakra or the Vakhyan mudra. She is wearing a five crested tiara tied by a lalata pattta over her upturned hair, with locks falling on the shoulders.
