The DASA’s temporary exhibition „Pia says goodbye“ told the moving story of seventeen-year-old Pia, who is dealing with her grandmother’s death. The visitors accompanied Pia on her emotional journey while she meets those working with death. The exhibition, as a „walk in story“, allowed unique insights into the working life of people working with death on a daily basis and their coping strategies. This image shows one mourning ritual, the window in the room where someone died is opened so the soul can ascend to heaven. Learn more about Pia and her journey in this story.
