Princess Catarina de Bragança (1638-1705), daughter of king João IV and sister of King Afonso VI and King Pedro II, married to King Charles II of England. Her dowry included a large amount of money, as well as the city and fortress of Tangier and the authority over the port and island of Bombay. She introduced the costum of drinking tea in the England court.
