Framed, colour, pen and wash print, entitled, "THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS". Print depicts thirteen gentlemen in 19th century cricket uniform and one in a suit, sitting on chairs and standing on grass in front of a white marquee. Inscription on thick, rectangular, cream-coloured card attached to perspex above image reads, "AUSTRALIAN XI - 1882. / FIRST AUSTRALIAN TEAM TO WIN A TEST MATCH IN ENGLAND. / PLAYED AT "THE OVAL". AUSTRALIA WON BY 7 RUNS.' Names of players printed beneath image of each player reads as follows, with the letter 'e' replacing the letter 'c' in two cases: 'S.P. JONES. A.C. BANNERMAN. G.J. BONNER. F.R. SPOFFORTH. J. MCCARTHY BLAEKHAM (sic). W.L. MURDOEH (sic). G. EUGENE PALMER. G. GIFFEN. H.F. BOYLE. T.W. GARRETT. H.H. MASSIE. PERCY S. MCDONNELL. T. HORAN.' Inscription in black ink at lower left of print reads '2 / 850'. Polished wood frame.
