Privacy was originally created as a visual commentary on the USA Patriot Act, which made it easier for the government to spy on ordinary Americans. Lukova’s image is a metaphoric twist of Auguste Rodin’s sculpture The Thinker, whose thought bubble it caught in a mousetrap. The print is included in the artist’s Social Justice portfolio.
