This privilege of the emperor from July 4, 1727 contains a residence permit for ten years for Simon Samuel and his family including his servants.
Samuel Simon had rendered outstanding services as a companion of the Austrian envoy at the Russian court. He received a 10-year privilege for himself and his family to reside freely in Vienna and wherever the court was in residence. He contributed 20,000 fl. to the compulsory loan for Jews issued in 1726 and had to submit a quarterly list of his family members and servants living in the household.
