In 1778 the magistrate of Oudenbosch made the decision to award a pennant in the year 1779 to the person who brought the most fish in Oudenbosch that year. The pennant went to Middelharnis, presumably to a descendant of the Slis family from whose possession this pennant comes. The pennant shows on one side the coat of arms of Prince Willem V with above that the coat of arms of Middelharnis and that of Oudenbosch flanked by two lions. Furthermore, there is a red-white-blue track with an orange tree on the white track and, among other things, a crown. The pennant measures 380 cm in length and is maximum 39 cm wide.
