Prospectiva communis is a general treatise by the English Franciscan John Pecham, composed between 1270 and 1279. It was printed in Milan in 1482 by the mathematician Fazio Cardano, and this edition was probably the one used by Leonardo (who knew Fazio personally, and asked him to find other books for him: Codex Atlanticus, f. 611a.r).
