Protest in Brisbane in support of the NDIS

The campaign for the National Disability Insurance Scheme used the slogan “Every Australian Counts” and an organisation of the same name was set up to encourage grassroots involvement across Australia. People were asked to share their story of why a National Disability Insurance Scheme was needed. Many stories of hardship caused by lack of resources were exposed and the decision makers began to understand the desperate urgency for reform.
