Lungwort in full bloom in the flowerbeds of the Garden of the simple. The whitish spots on its leaves are similar to the pulmonary alveoli. This is why the species were thought, wrongly, to heal lungs. In Italy it is widespread in the shady, humid, cool woods, along the streams.
