The Quinta da Marka was built recently and revisits the traditional typology of the farmhouse through the simplicity of its volumes, its economy of means and operational efficiency in response to orographic and climatic peculiarities. The bipartisan nature of the design is evident: production below and house above, revealed by the two different coatings used on the façade, which blend with the landscape. The thick schist walls merge with the terraces, and the coating demarcates and affirms the housing area, similarly to the 19th-century manor houses.
