During Nuart 2012, American artist Ron English contributed a psychedelic piece showcasing his well-known rabbit figures on an abstract camouflage-patterned background. Because the wall was located next to a popular footpath for schoolchildren in the area, English decided to contribute a piece that would brighten up their day.

Ron English is best-known for his multidisciplinary practice exploring brand imagery, street art and advertising. He coined the term POPaganda to describe his unique blend of high and low brow imagery, mixing pop-cultural imagery with art-historical iconography. English frequently pulls subjects from his ever-expanding cast of characters, including an obese fast-food mascot, demented Disney figures and three-eyed rabbits. The artist's work typically modifies mainstream brands and symbols, creating unsettling juxtapositions, resulting in new and often jarring images that can be seen on the street, in galleries and on album covers worldwide.
