Racing Bullock Cart

A two wheeled racing bullock cart having wooden and metallic body, seat is covered by red cloth with golden laces, and body consists of metallic rods placed horizontally and vertically. Front part consists of yoke with small metal sheets encrusted. The cart comes from Punjab where the tradition of bullock cart races is very popular. The races however are not held due to ban imposed under section 11 of prevention of ‘Cruelty to Animals Act’ by the Union Government.
