Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority 0622 and 0623 (Boston) and Boston Elevated Ry. Tower C at Seashore Trolley Museum
#0622 and #0623 require high level platforms the full length of the train to safely load and discharge passengers at stops. Then when the doors open at a station, passengers can very quickly enter and leave the train. Also stations are typically spaced a half-mile or more apart. These trains also run on exclusive tracks usually above or below city streets without even street or road crossings, so they can move briskly to the next station. Such line are often called Rapid Transit Lines.
