George Harrison was so moved after seeing Ravi Shankar's performance that he was very keen to meet him. When they met in London, there was an immediate connection and Ravi Shankar was impressed by the curiosity and sincerity of young George. George started learning the sitar from Shankar almost immediately after that. From then on blossomed a unique relationship of father and son, Guru and disciple, friend and confidant.
