Real Casa de Correos

The Real Casa de Correos, in Puerta del Sol, is the seat of the Government of the Community of Madrid. Built in the second half of the 18th century, it is famous for its clock, from where the New Year's Eve chimes are broadcast. It is a building steeped in history, linked both to institutional power and to the popular tradition of Madrid.
