This tunic is part of a four-piece Cantonese opera costume. It is embellished all over with red, pink, and silver sequins and beads, featuring birds and a mountain and wave pattern. The sleeves are wide, with white water sleeves (séui jauh) attached to the ends. The tunic fastens with ties and metal snaps along the shoulder and half of the torso’s right side. Slits on both sides of the tunic extend from mid-torso down, with belt loops for a stiff hoop belt (yuuk dáai) under each arm.
