At the center of this painting, placed on a large lotus throne, is Red Yamari (Raktayamari) holding a vajra-stick and a skullcup and embracing his consort Vajravetali. The couple are flanked by two great adepts, Virupa on the left and Dombi Heruka riding a tigress along with his tantric consort on the right. These flanking figures are the first lineage holders of the teachings of this deity. At the top of the painting Vajrasattva is flanked by the red Vajradharma and the green Vajravidarana, the principal bodhisattvas of three Buddha families, and four mahasiddhas. At the bottom, the protector Vajrapani is flanked by Green and White Tara.
