Promenade vehicle which is related to a tragic episode of Portuguese History. The Royal Family was travelling in the Landau when on Februry 1, 1908 in Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon, they suffered an attack in which King Carlos and, the heir to the throne, Prince Luís Filipe, were killed.
Traces of the bullets are still visible.
The body has two seats for four people facing each other, and two leather folding hoods. It displays the monogram of King Carlos I.
A step, hanging from the body's exterior is used for accessing the body. The coachman's seat is raised and has a lantern on each side as well as a crank break on the right side.
The maker's trademark is engraved on the wheel hubs.
