The walls of the Sala dos Archeiros (Archers’ Room) are lined with relief tiles, decorated with a motif of vine leaves and bunches of grapes and using a technique in which the clay is moulded with high-relief forms. This represented an entirely new decorative type of tile, of which various examples displaying different plant and vegetal motifs can be found at the National Palace of Sintra.
