Don Remedios Tepetl Xicale, was born in San Andrés Cholula, on September 1, 1943, he spent all his childhood in the fields of Hacienda Santa Catarina Mártir, so much so that the owner was his first communion godfather. Don Remedios was born, grew up and lived his childhood and youth in the former Hacienda Santa Catarina Mártir, now Universidad de las Américas Puebla, since his parents' house is located on the edge of the university.
In 1958 he began to work as a cowboy, on the Hacienda ranch before coming to college; In 1970 he worked as a bricklayer in the construction of the University, 5 years later he entered as a dishwasher in the dining room area. In 1997 he worked in the Computing Rooms (CECUA), this being his last job at the Campus, becoming a creditor of 5 Preseas in recognition of his 20 years as a collaborator at UDLAP.
Don Remedios Tepetl Xicale passed away on June 21, 2020, he always talked about the love he had for the former Hacienda Santa Catarina Mártir, now the University of the Americas Puebla.
