In 1832, the first shipment of gold arrived from the KolyvanoVoskresensky mines. In commemoration of this event, 1,000 coins
were minted with the inscription ‘as a gift for His Imperial Majesty’.
Nicholas I kept 50 coins and the rest were distributed among royal
family members.

Coin’s denomination ❀ 5 ❀ РУБЛЕЙ (❀ 5 ❀ RUBLES) inside
beaded circle; under ornate line—year 1832 and mint mark: С.П.Б.
(S.P.B.). Above the denomination, semi-circular commemorative
legend: ИЗЪ РОЗС. КОЛЫВ. ❀ (FROM THE KOLYVAN DEPOSITS.)
