Ayimaa-Kankam Marjorie (b. 1988) holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Education (Painting and Sculpture) from the University of Education, Winneba. Her works narrates connectivity using the cross-hatching technique called the WEB, and they are more of impressionism than expressionism.
To Marjorie, everything in this world begins with a speck and by movement and vibration different types of lines are created; like horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc. Fascinated by lines, she uses the cross- hatching technique in modeling the forms on the canvas, in acrylic medium and with the edges of palette knifes. Marjorie has so far show case her works at the Nubuke Foundation, Accra, the Netherland Embassy and Beige Gallery to mention a few.
