As the first admirably well painted (CG00137). In the first planes, several types of small boats like canoes and "faluas", with black rowers and what they transported.In the background, the city's navy being easily identified: the convent of Ajuda, the church of Santa Luzia with its primitive bell, The tip of the Dungeon with the House of the Train, having behind the Misericórdia and Morro do Castelo where we recognize The Old Cathedral, the college house, the Jesuit church and the flag stick; The two towers of San Francisco de Paula, houses of Misericórdia street and unique tower of the church of San Jose; The Paço, already with the third floor in the face that overlooks at the sea; The Largo do Paço and Teles houses, the Sé Cathedral and Carmo church with a provisional bell-tower; The beach of Peixe, the Candelária church  already with the two towers; Forest of ships in the well in front of the beach of Brás de Pina, the São Bento and all Ilha das Cobras and their fortifications.
