Risorgimento Museum - Silk shawl with tricolor decorations

In the wake of Italy's unification in 1848-49, a surge of patriotism sparked the creation of objects displaying the Italian flag's colors. This beautiful silk shawl with white, red, and green satin accents was donated to the museum by the municipality in its early years, and has been on display since its restoration in the 1990s.
