Photo of Thorsten Goldberg's "Rock, Paper, Scissors," at the Oberbaumbridge Berlin, which was a former crossing point of the Berlin Wall. His piece is meant to illustrate the randomness and chance connected to the implimentation of the Berlin Wall and it's no man's land. The lights are programmed to randomly produce the three different hand gestures: rock, paper, and scissors. It was commissioned in 1997 by the Berlin Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment.
