Room with a view was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.
"'Room with a view' reminds me of what we can see through a window in the room. I think we can see the outside view even inside. My work represents what I see outside, people trapped at home and it’s like I see inside, myself in the room, trapped. And next to us there is the invisible virus, which is isolated from the window. I represented loneliness, suffering and powerlessness during this period of quarantine." Qi Wen
