Sculpturesque, eight-branched rosette. The ribbons are decorated with painted enamel on their broché edges. Four ribbons are decorated with serial mounted almandine stones, the other four with pearls fixed on strings.
Wearing rosettes of various sizes on nearly any kind of clothes, both male and female, became immensely popular in the French court of the mid-17th century. Along with textile rosettes, metal rosettes (jewels) appeared as well.
