Rovers Basketball Club - Port Adelaide Basketball Association

The Port Adelaide Basketball Association Women’s A-Grade premiers for 1935 – 1936, were Rovers club, who were presented with the Beilby Shield and the Intra-Association Challenge Cup at the Port Adelaide Town Hall on 10 October 1936.

The grand final game was held at Port Adelaide Central School on 12 September 1936, with the Rovers against Sarnia club, after the Edinburg club – who were one point behind Rovers – withdrew from the association’s competition. Additionally, the Inter-Association Challenge Cup final match was played at Port Adelaide Central School on 19 September 1936, with Rovers defeating Varrum, A Grade leaders of Murray Bridge Association, 27 to 20.
