The document is part of the long process of pressure on the Mudéjar (Muslim) population of Las Alpujarras that began practically from the taking of the city of Granada and that caused the progressive flight of its inhabitants until the definitive expulsion of the Moriscos in 1609. With this document signed by her father king Ferdinad the Catholic, the Queen sells Luis Zapata lands abandoned by its inhabitants in Buñol, Lujar, Gualchos, Xolucar, Ubrit and Alfaz and the right to build a castle in Albuñol, territorial base on which he founded his entailed estate.
