Indian Madder is one of the most popular dye plants all over the world, after the Indigofera tinctoria (Indian Indigo plant). Unlike the Indigo though, it takes a couple of years to grow to their full length and get ready for harvest. But like any other dye yielding plant, Manjistha is also known for its medicinal properties.
