Ruby - An NHS Pet

Kirsty says: "Knowing the difference my portrait has made to two NHS workers who love their dog Ruby so much, means I am happy. It's a win win. I enjoyed getting to know Ruby's owners and working on their gorgeous Labrador. It was particularly lovely knowing that my drawing updates helped cheer them up on some not- so- good days. Their expressed excitement during the process was infectious which meant it was a great experience for me too, it was a total honour to draw Ruby and I'm thrilled to have been a part of this initiative."

Ruby's owners say: "Apart from the fact that the drawing of Ruby is amazing, we have really enjoyed getting to know Kirsty. We have enjoyed getting updates from her at each stage of the portrait of our dog Ruby, which we have shared with friends and family and its really kept our spirits up...the experience of this is something we will always remember."
