"Art and Madness", the first temporary exhibition at the Labirinto della Masone, opened to the public in 2015 together with the whole complex. The title refers not only to Antonio Ligabue and Piero Ghizzardi, artists whose madness marked significantly their life and works, but also to the architectural "folies", i.e. extravagant constructions that aristocrats used to build in their parks to host parties. Those buildings were called "follies" not only because of their bizarre appearance but also because their construction implied insane, huge costs. The similarity with the newborn cultural park is therefore inevitable.
