Saltaire World Heritage Site

BRADFORD, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 08: The Leeds & Liverpool Canal runs alongside the Saltaire Village World Heritage Site in Bradford, West Yorkshire on February 8, 2011 in Bradford, England. Saltaire is named after Sir Titus Salt who built a textile mill and housing for his workers on the banks of the River Aire. The historic industrial village was granted a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001. Titus Salt (1803-1876) became one of Britain's most successful industrialists. A deeply religous man who believed in education and a healthy environment for his employees.
