The Sanctuary of "Sant'Oronzo fuori le mura" (Saint Orontius outside the walls) stands on what is traditionally considered the place where Saint Orontius, patron of the city of Lecce, was martyred.
The church, neoclassical in style and made of Lecce stone, was built in place of a previous one, then in ruins.
