A 21598.5 Sq. ft. building with a glass skylight, and a Greco Roman/Neo classical Renaissance features (the word is often used to describe an architectural style, but it is not actually any distinct style) Tuscan orders, Achaemenian decorative elements, having colonial period columns for grandeur was built in 1920’s, in pink Jodhpuri stone. Initially the premises, housed the judicial commissioner, later as Imperial Bank of India, after independence taken over by Pakistan, continued to serve as Imperial Bank of India, later as Foreign office of State Bank and eventually as library of State Bank till 2004.
