Leon Feffer emigrated from Ukraine to Brazil in 1920, together with his mother, a brother and two sisters. Leon established himself as a merchant in São Paulo, selling various types of goods, including paper. In 1939, he founded the Papel e Celulose (in English, "Paper and Cellulose") factory. In addition, Leon Feffer dedicated himself to various community activities, and also held the position of Israeli honorary consul in Brazil.
