The centre of the seal bears an image of the city gate with three towers; in its opening, there is a lion walking in the right direction.
Legend: SIGILLUM CIVITATIS LEOPOLIENSIS MIN[?] (Small Seal of the City of Lviv).
This seal was used in 1496 — 1698. The wax imprint from the collection of Lviv Historical Museum originates from an unidentified document, allegedly from the late 15th century.
