Earthenware tin glazed plaque with seascape. Polychrome decoration where blue is dominant showing in the foreground a great sailboat with folded sails. To the left a merchant ship with chimney and sail masts; in the background boats with lateen rigs and quarters and buildings that give the impression of being port warehouses can be seen. Depicting a calm sea, blue clouds and seagulls, it is an example of pictorial ceramics that incorporated the fine arts of easel painting to ceramics of the last quarter of the 19th century. Rafael Monleón (1843-1900) at the Valencian Tile Factory of San Pio V.
