Seated St. James

This piece, signed by Juan A. García de Bouzas, faithfully reproduces the sculptural model of the Apostle Saint James designed by Master Mateo for the cathedral’s high altar, while incorporating new elements: the pilgrim’s cape, the gourd, the satchel, and the frame with medallions depicting the disciples Theodore and Athanasius.
