This is an abridged version of the Great Compendium on Nature and Principle. Kim Jeong-guk excerpted maxims from the 70 volumes of the Great Compendium on Nature and Principle and compiled them into 4 volumes. This book was published with wooden types kept at the Naju Town when Kim Jeong-guk started his new post as surveillance commissioner of Jeolla Province in 1538 after discussing the matter with assistant surveillance commissioner Kim Hoe-baek. Some types were missing, and new types were carved to replace them.
