Assorted Allotment Sheds in Ealing Dean Gardens in West Ealing, London. In 2018 London's oldest surviving allotments Ealing Dean Gardens, as decreed by the Bishop of London back in 1832, was under threat from a housing development. It had already been reduced in size during the 1970's by 60% following a compulsory purchase order. Damian Walker was born in a house up the road from the allotments. Since the 1960's he had passed by on the bus, overlooking its high hedge when going to the cinema. When Damian heard about the threat of its demise he asked Christina, the Allotment Association’s chair, if he could come in and take some pictures. His pictures here document the feel of a current allotment site in west London including many sheds.
