Small ring style ornament manufactured from a juvenile Glycymeris shell. The back of the shell has been removed leaving the shell's margins. The top and bottom of the band have been ground flat. A small asymmetrical perforation has been ground into the flattened edge of the beak. This ring was recovered from a sheet trash deposit during a very small monitoring project near the ballcourt at the site of Pueblo Grande. Pueblo Grande was a large village located at the headgates of a major canal system. Occupied as early as AD 500, the site reached its greatest extent during the Classic Period.
