A Union flag used as a maritime ensign on the brig Thistle. The flag consists of a cream rectangle of linen or canvas with a double red cross and the off-white triangles, which were probably blue, that make up the Union flag. There are tears and repairs to the flag. The flag is in a wood frame with cracked glazing.
