The Ravi Varma Press brought within its' fold many other artists to create designs and paintings which would be used to create oleographs, postcards, textile labels, etc. A unique attribute to some of the prints from the Ravi Varma Press is the imprint of the signature of the artist thereby making it possible to ascertain the artist of the painting which is used as an exemplar for the oleograph from the Ravi Varma Press.
One of the artists who worked for the Ravi Varma Press was Mahadev Vishwanath Dhurandhar (1867-1944). This print from the Ravi Varma Press derived from a painting by M V Dhurandhar is Shiva and Parvati in Procession. The Devnagiri script states 'Shiv Parvati Vivah' meaning the Marriage of Shiva and Parvati.
