Two Jangala men, rainmakers, unleashed a giant storm of lightning and rain that was carried across the country by kirrkarian (brown falcon) until it reached the site of Puyurru. Here, the bird dug up a giant warnayarra (rainbow serpent), which used the water from the storm to create a lake. Straight lines represent the ngawarra (flood waters) running through the landscape, while small circles represent mulju (water soakages) and the short bars represent clouds and lightning.
